- .com: Dominates with 71% of sales. This underscores the enduring value and trust associated with the extension.
- ccTLDs: Accounted for 26% of sales, reflecting a growing trend toward localized and niche extensions. The most popular ccTLD was .ai, which continues to attract interest from tech-focused buyers. This was closely followed by .io and .co but we also sold other exotic extensions such as .do and .st
- New gTLDs: Represented just 3% of sales. While not as prominent, they still provide opportunities for niche markets, and we expect the percentage of sales in this category to gradually increase throughout 2025.
Source of Sale
- For-Sale Landing Pages: 55% of buyers originated from Efty Investor-powered For-Sale landing pages or Marketplaces, showcasing the importance of optimized, Buy-It-Now landing pages.
- Bring Your Lead: 36% of sales came from buyers brought directly by sellers through our Bring Your Lead feature.
- Marketplace: 9% of sales were completed directly through Efty.com, our marketplace, rapidly delivering a growing number of qualified buyers.

1. Short, Brandable Domains
Startups and businesses continued to invest in short, memorable domains to establish unique brands. This category accounted for 33% of sales, highlighting the value of concise, brandable names for companies looking to differentiate themselves.
2. Betting and Gaming Domains
The gambling and gaming sectors showed consistent demand, representing 20% of sales. This vertical continues to be a strong market with above-average sales prices.
3. Technology and AI Domains
Domains related to technology and artificial intelligence are hot commodities, contributing 15% of sales. AI-focused domains, in particular, saw robust demand.
4. ccTLDs as Brandable Alternatives
While .com remains king, niche ccTLDs offered appealing alternatives and comprised 26% of total sales. Localized and tech-friendly extensions like .ai resonated with modern businesses seeking unique branding opportunities.

- Premium Domains ($10,000+): Represented a significant portion of total sales value (58%).
- Mid-Tier Domains ($5,000–$10,000): Contributed meaningfully to the overall portfolio (22%).
- Affordable Domains (Below $5,000): Highlighted the diversity of opportunities available to buyers at different budgets (20%).
