At Efty, our mission has always been clear: to put domain owners in control by creating the most trusted, transparent and frictionless way to manage, market, and buy and sell premium domain names. Every tool we build, from Efty Investor to the Efty.com marketplace to Efty Pay, is designed to protect our users’ interests, simplify transactions, and create a better aftermarket experience for both sellers and buyers.

That’s why we’re proud to share that Efty has joined the Internet Commerce Association (ICA) as a corporate member. We stand alongside respected industry leaders, such as GoDaddy, NameBright, and Dynadot, and many others, in supporting the ICA’s mission. What makes this step even more meaningful for us is that we’re joining many of our longstanding Efty users, from leading domain brokers to the owners of some of the world’s most premium portfolios, who are already represented among the members within the ICA. For us, joining the ICA is not just a commitment to advocacy, but also a way to deepen our connection with the customers we proudly serve and to forge even stronger relationships with partners across the entire domain name ecosystem.
Why the ICA matters
The ICA is the leading trade association dedicated to protecting the rights of domain name owners worldwide. They advocate for fair policies, fight against abusive practices such as reverse domain name hijacking, and ensure that domain ownership, whether by an investor, a business, or an individual, is respected as the valuable property right it is.
Behind this advocacy is a dedicated team whose work makes the ICA so effective. Zak Muscovitch, General Counsel, has been a pioneer in domain name law since the late 1990s, successfully defending owners’ rights in numerous precedent-setting cases. Kamila Sekiewicz, Executive Director, has led the ICA since 2017, growing its membership and influence while fostering a strong sense of community. Together with the ICA’s board and members, they ensure that domain owners everywhere have a strong voice and solid protection.
The ICA’s work comes to life at its annual Member Meeting in Las Vegas, widely regarded as the ultimate meeting of the minds in the domain name aftermarket. Our leadership team has attended this event for many years, and the quality of the discussions, networking, and opportunities to engage directly with C-level executives from leading companies in the space is unparalleled.
Why is this important to Efty users?
Joining the ICA is a natural step for us because its mission aligns so closely with our own:
- For sellers: Just as the ICA defends your rights as a domain owner in policy and governance, Efty provides you with the tools and secure processes to manage, market, and sell domains confidently on a transparent platform with full control.
- For buyers: The ICA’s work ensures that once you acquire a premium domain name, your rights as a new owner are recognized and protected. Efty complements this by providing a safe and seamless transfer process through Efty Pay, ensuring your investment is secure from the very start.
Just as we’ve got your back in every transaction, the ICA has the backs of domain owners in the broader policy and governance landscape.
We’re excited to contribute our perspective, collaborate with fellow members, and support the ICA’s important work in ensuring that the rights of domain name owners, present and future, are protected.
If you are serious about your domain name business, we encourage you to also consider joining the ICA and supporting this vital cause. Together, we can build an even stronger, fairer, and more resilient domain name industry.
